About Gilcrest Center
A family business that never treated care like a business.
Founded in 2007 by John and Annette Saeger, so no one has to leave home just because there’s no one to help during the day.
In December 2007, John and Annette Saeger opened the Gilcrest Center with one belief: nobody should have to leave home for a nursing facility just because there was no one to care for them during the day. The Saeger family still runs Gilcrest, and that belief still decides everything we do.
What we’re here to do
We care for the whole person: their social, emotional, physical, spiritual and creative needs. And we care for the family who loves them.
Nursing homes play a vital role, and we respect the work they do. But for many older adults, the right answer is staying home with help during the day. That’s why Gilcrest is both an adult day center and a transportation company: care that can’t get to you isn’t much help.
“I’ve been coming to the Wooster center since the first week it opened. Thank you to the Saeger family for providing us this opportunity.”
